Description

To provide analytical, research, and coordination support to the IPPR Directorate. The intern will develop practical skills in policy development, strategic planning, performance monitoring, and data analysis to enhance evidence-based decision-making and contribute to effective governance and service delivery

Responsibilities

• Policy and Research Support: Conduct research, reviews, and analysis of policy, legislative, and strategic documents to inform decision-making
• Strategic Planning: Assist in business planning, performance verification, and the alignment of departmental performance with the City's Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Scorecards
• Stakeholder Engagement: Support the facilitation, documentation, and analysis of stakeholder inputs for inclusive policy and planning processes
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Support the collection, analysis, and presentation of policy and performance data using tools like MS Excel and Power BI for reporting and decision-making
• Governance and Administration: Provide administrative, logistical, and record-keeping support for IPPR operations to ensure compliance with municipal governance frameworks

Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Public Management / Administration, or Development Studies, or Political Studies
